Product Description
1070-1095 grade steel is high carbon steel with a carbon content of .65 to 1.03%. 1070-1095 grade steel can resist heavy forces but workability is low due to its hardness. This thin, externally applied layer of zinc provides resistance to corrosion and can give the part a slight tint of color. High carbon steel is notably hard due to its carbon content level range of .50 to 1.99%. Slotted spring pins are hollow, cylindrical tube-style press fit fasteners with chamfered ends that are lighter, cheaper, and easier to install than solid pins. Commonly used as locking devises, positioning points, anti-chafing surfaces, shafts, or sleeves for wiring.
