Product Description
Secure components more quickly than standard cotter pins. One prong is already bent, so just push into a hole for installation in one step. Although hairpins are reusable, they don’t withstand vibration as well as standard and hammer-set cotter pins. Also known as hitch pin clips and R-clips. These pins withstand occasional exposure to moisture. However, since friction from moving parts can wear away the finish, they’re not ideal for wet environments. While not nearly as corrosion resistant as stainless steel, they are stronger and won’t deform under stress.
Features:
- Standard bridge pins are specialized wire forms used to quickly lock a larger pin in place
- MB grade is hard drawn or oil tempered and has a higher carbon content level making it suitable for parts subject to high or frequent stress
- This thin, externally applied layer of zinc provides resistance to corrosion and can give the part a slight tint of color
- Spring wire is durable, pliable wire that resists distortion when bent or twisted
