- 230 Hex Head Cap Screws Grade 8 Yellow Zinc
- Made from Grade 8 steel, these screws can be used in high-stress applications, such as valves, pumps, motors, and automotive suspension systems. They are at least 25% stronger than medium-strength steel screws. Grade 8 steel hex head screws are marked with six radial lines. Length is measured from under the head. Zinc yellow-chromate plated steel screws resist corrosion in wet environments.
- 230 Finished Hex Nuts Grade 8 Yellow Zinc
- Used for fastening to a bolt when mechanically joining materials together. This type is also known as finished full. Made from tempered medium carbon alloy steel and zinc plated. Best for applications where high strength and hardness is required. Grade 8 is stronger than grade 5, and is commonly found in high strength automotive applications.
- 230 SAE Washers Grade 8 Yellow Zinc
- Use these washers to evenly distribute the load under bolt or screw heads and nuts when fastening. They can also act as spacers. USS washers generally have a larger ID and OD than SAE washers.
- 230 Split Lock Washers Grade 8 Yellow Zinc
- As a screw is tightened, these metric washers flatten to add tension to the joint, counteracting fatigue around the joint from small amounts of vibration. This makes them a common choice to prevent fasteners from loosening. However, they resist the least amount of vibration compared to other locking washers. They meet a DIN or ASME standard for split lock washer dimensions.
