Steel is a durable alloy of iron and carbon containing less than 2% carbon and 1% manganese along with small amounts of silicone, phosphorus, sulfur, and oxygen. Identical to NPTF threads, but the thread length has been reduced by eliminating one full thread from the small end of male threads or the large end on female threads.
