Product Description
Similar to type 309 except for the carbon content being lower than .03%. Extra low carbon content provides good resistance to carbide precipitation and intergranular corrosion.
Features:
- Premium ER309L stainless steel TIG welding wire rods.
- AWS Classification: ER309L. Conforms to AWS A5.9/ASME SFA-A5.9.
- Rod size: 1/8″ (3.2mm) dia. x 36″ (915mm) length. Single end stamping.
- ER309L is to weld dissimilar alloys like mild steel and the stainless steels, and also for direct overlay on mild steel for corrosion applications. Low carbon content of max. 0.03% will reduce the possibility of intergranular carbide precipitation. As welded properly, it will exhibits high strength and good toughness over a wide range of temperatures.
