  • A Hexagon Nut is a six sided internally threaded fastener that is used in conjunction with an externally threaded fastener such as a hex head cap screw, carriage bolt, or threaded stud. Hex Nuts are turned with a wrench or a socket. • 374 Flat Washers Grade 8.8 Zinc
  • Use these metric washers to evenly distribute the load under bolt or screw heads and nuts when fastening. They can also act as spacers. Steel washers are stronger and more wear resistant than stainless steel washers. Zinc- and zinc yellow-chromate plated steel washers have an outer layer of zinc that protects the inner steel from rust and extends the life of the washer. Although they are stronger and more wear resistant than stainless steel, they are not as corrosion resistant. Use them in wet environments, but avoid contact with salt water and chemicals.
• 374 Split Lock Washers Grade 8.8 Zinc
  • As a screw is tightened, these metric washers flatten to add tension to the joint, counteracting fatigue around the joint from small amounts of vibration. This makes them a common choice to prevent fasteners from loosening. However, they resist the least amount of vibration compared to other locking washers.
